Three steps, once

From parked to playing.

Turn on Personal Hotspot

On the iPhone, enable Personal Hotspot and tap Start in DisplayCast.

Connect the car

Join the hotspot from the car's Wi-Fi, and check Remain connected in Drive.

Open the address

In the car's browser, go to displaycast.org and the screen appears.

Apps that enforce DRM — Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video — show a black frame when mirrored. That's their protection, not a DisplayCast limit. Audio rides your existing Bluetooth connection to the car.
